ANTARCTICA – DOMAIN ONE is the seventh documentary by @GauchosdelMar, winners of 71 international awards. Released in 2025, this expedition explores, documents and surfs through the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula, in the region known as Domain One, currently being proposed as a Marine Protected Area (MPA). Marine Protected Areas play a crucial role in mitigating climate change and regulating human activities such as industrial fishing. Through this journey, the film aims to raise awareness about the importance of this region and the threats it faces. Antarctica is the only continent that belongs to all humanity. Protecting it is our responsibility.
