I paddled out at sunrise (06:30 AM) to surf the best and most powerful wave on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast—where most of the Israeli surfers ride. With 30°C water and 25°C air, the conditions were perfect, but the crowd was next level. In a lineup where snaking is the norm, I had to hold my ground.
