River Runoff Made A New Sand Point in Malibu!

Details:
This winter has been a WILD one for most California residents! Heavy rains and storm runoff created sand bars and waves in unusual places up and down the coast. This has been the craziest winters of storm surf that I have seen in my life. Normally Topanga is a cobble stone wave that breaks pretty far from shore. On this rare day it turned in to a peeling little barrel that tempted surfers and skimboarders from Orange County area to go and give the spot a try. We were all glad that we did when we showed up to a reeling right that we could run on to with our skimboards. While it was by no means an epic wave, we felt very lucky to have ridden it while the sand lasted. Just a few days later the beach returned to its cobble stone shores and had no signs of returning back to a sand point. #California #surfing #malibu
