New friends arrive on Tabuaeran while sailing down to Tahiti. I give them a quick tour of my island house and show them around the beautiful paradise of Fanning island. We find a baby bird that had fallen from its nest on the side of the main road. Usually I would leave a baby bird alone, but there were wild dogs and kids all throughout the area. With a low likelihood of the birds survival, we decide to take it back to my tree house and feed it some fish. I show Heo, a Polynesian man, the ancient Polynesia ruins that are found all throughout the land we cleared off to build my home. The locals consider the area to be haunted, I am very curious what these foundations once were. Maybe an archeologist could chime in? I show my new friend the nearby cable station, a relay station for a underwater telegraph cable during World War I connecting Australia, New Zealand and Canada to Great Britain. It was attacked and destroyed by the Germans in a raid. The site was also turned into a plantation with a century old building still standing from the original development. Near the end of the video we stop by Beitos surf camp. He did a really great job building it on the same beach I built my house.
