Headed down to a local break, and found the Sumner Longboarders on their annual roadie - they'd been there all morning scoring some great waves. Much bigger swell than I expected, and it was a nervous paddle out, especially with a (very supportive!) audience on the rocks! Spent a good chunk of the session away from the bigger shoulders, getting my bearings and improving my confidence. Picked off a couple though, including a few of my best lefts I reckon.
